In today’s gospel according to Matthew, Jesus told the parable of the vineyard owner who sent out slaves and finally his son to the rebellious tenants who killed them. “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes.”
