Liturgy
“Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.” – Psalm 100:2
At St. Leander’s, worship is at the heart of who we are. Every Mass is a celebration of God’s love and presence among us—a sacred moment where we come together as a community to give thanks, to pray, and to be nourished by the Word and the Eucharist.
🙌 Get Involved in the Liturgy
Our liturgical celebrations are made even more beautiful and meaningful through the participation of parishioners who serve in various ministries. Whether you’re drawn to music, hospitality, or prayerful silence, there’s a place for you to share your gifts.
Here are some of the ways you can serve:
The Ministry of Art and Environment (Altar Guild): Help decorate the church to reflect the liturgical seasons.
The Ministry of Hospitality: Ushers & Greeters – Offer a warm welcome and help create a spirit of hospitality.
The Ministry of Altar Servers: Assist the priest during Mass and learn the beauty of the liturgy up close.
The Ministry of the Word: Proclaim the Word of God with clarity and reverence.
The Extraordinary Ministry of the Holy Communion: Help distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful.
The Ministry of Music: Lift hearts to God through music and song.
💛 All Are Welcome
Whether you’re new to the parish or have been here for years, we invite you to consider joining one of our liturgical ministries. Training is provided, and we’ll walk with you every step of the way.
Your presence matters. Your gifts are needed. Your heart is welcome.
