Restoration of the Obligation to Attend Mass
The faithful are encouraged to return to participating in the Sunday Mass if their health permits. Bishop Barber will soon be issuing a Pastoral Letter on the beauty and centrality of the Eucharist in our lives. The lifting of the dispensation from the Sunday Mass Obligation will come into force on Sunday, August 15th, the Solemnity of the Assumption. The usual dispensations allowed by canon law will be explained in the bishop’s letter.

Restauración de la obligación de asistir a misa
Se anima a los fieles a volver a participar en la misa dominical si su salud lo permite. El Obispo Barber pronto publicará una Carta Pastoral sobre la belleza y centralidad de la Eucaristía en nuestras vidas. El levantamiento de la dispensa de la obligación de asistira la misa dominical entrará en vigor el domingo 15 de agosto, el día en que celebramos la Solemnidad de la Asunción. Las dispensas habituales permitidas por el derecho canónico se explicarán en la carta del obispo.
