Second Collection is for Contingency

ALL SAINTS’ MASS

All are invited on Saturday, November 1, at 9 am, to celebrate together a bilingual All Saints’ Mass. While not a holyday of obligation this year, it is a solemnity and an occasion to celebrate all the saints who have gone before us and who are with us today.

ANOINTING CANCELLED
On Saturday, November 1, the first Saturday, the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will not be offered at the morning Mass due to the conflict with the Solemnity of All Saints’. The First Saturday Anointing Mass will resume on Saturday, December 6.

ALL SAINTS’ SOCIAL/SAINT PRESENTATIONS
ALL are invited to a special All Saints’ event! You are encouraged to come dressed up as your favorite Saint, socialize with other parishioners, and enjoy select presentations on Saints from various St. Leander community leaders. Drinks and finger foods will be provided. This event is to take place on Saturday, November 1, at 5:30 pm in Ryan O’Connell Hall (the gym).

ALL SOULS’
All Souls’ will be celebrated at all Saturday evening and Sunday Masses of November 1 and 2. You are encouraged to wear white and black, the colors of the day.

NOVEMBER ALTAR OF REPOSE
• For the month of November, the altar of remembrance and repose will be set up in the vestibule. You are encouraged to bring images of those loved ones who have died to display for the entire month.
• A Book of the Dead will be available for you to inscribe the names of your loved ones who have passed.
• November is also a great time to visit gravesites to commemorate and remember our dearly departed. To guide you in prayer, a Rite of Visiting a Grave will be provided in the vestibule.

TIME CHANGE
Mark your calendars! Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour on Saturday night, November 1, for the autumnal time change at 2 am Sunday morning. This means we will gain an hour of sleep!

MISA DE TODOS LOS SANTOS
“El recuerdo de los santos nos lleva a alzar la mirada al Cielo: no para olvidar las realidades de la tierra, sino para afrontarlas con mayor valentía, con más esperanza.” —Papa Francisco

Están todos invitados el sábado 1 de noviembre a las 9:00 am a celebrar juntos la Misa bilingüe de Todos los Santos. Si bien no es un día festivo de precepto este año, es una solemnidad y una ocasión para celebrar a todos los santos que nos precedieron y que nos acompañan hoy.

UNCIÓN CANCELADA
El sábado 1 de noviembre, primer sábado de la semana, no se ofrecerá el sacramento de la Unción de los Enfermos en la Misa de la mañana debido a la coincidencia con la Solemnidad de Todos los Santos. La Misa de Unción del Primer Sábado se reanudará el sábado 6 de diciembre.

DIVERSIÓN SOCIAL/PRESENTACIONES DE TODOS LOS SANTOS
¡Todos están invitados a un evento especial de Todos los Santos! Los animamos a venir vestidos como su santo favorito, a convivir con otros feligreses y a disfrutar de presentaciones selectas sobre santos a cargo de varios líderes de la comunidad de St. Leander. Se ofrecerán bebidas y aperitivos. Este evento tendrá lugar el sábado 1 de noviembre a las 5:30 pm en el Salón Ryan O’Connell (el gimnasio).

DIARIOS DE LOS FIELES
El Día de los Fieles Difuntos se celebrará en todas las misas vespertinas y dominicales del 1 y 2 de noviembre. Se les anima a vestir de blanco y negro, los colores del día.

ALTAR DE REPOSO DE NOVIEMBRE

• Durante el mes de noviembre, el altar de recuerdo y reposo se instalará en el vestíbulo. Los animamos a traer imágenes de sus seres queridos fallecidos para exhibirlas durante todo el mes. • Habrá un Libro de los Muertos disponible para que inscriban los nombres de sus seres queridos fallecidos.
• Noviembre también es un buen momento para visitar las tumbas y conmemorar a nuestros seres queridos difuntos. Para guiarlos en la oración, se ofrecerá un Rito de Visita a la Tumba en el vestíbulo.

CAMBIO DE HORA
¡Anoten en sus calendarios! No olviden atrasar sus relojes una hora la noche del sábado 1 de noviembre para el cambio de hora otoñal a las 2:00 del domingo. ¡Esto significa que dormiremos una hora más!
