Becoming Catholic (RCIA)
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.“
Matthew 28:19
- Are you curious about the Catholic faith?
- Have you attended Mass and found yourself wanting to know more?
- Are you unbaptized, baptized in another Christian tradition, or simply feeling drawn to the Catholic Church?
- Are you married to a Catholic and interested in receiving the sacraments?
- Or are you a lifelong Catholic seeking a deeper understanding of your faith?
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we warmly invite you to explore the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) at St. Leander’s.
What is RCIA?
RCIA is the process through which adults and older children are welcomed into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. It’s more than a class—it’s a journey of faith, discovery, and transformation. Through prayer, study, reflection, and community, participants are gradually introduced to the richness of Catholic teaching, liturgy, and life.
Whether you’re preparing for Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation, or simply seeking to understand the Catholic tradition more deeply, RCIA offers a supportive and welcoming environment to grow in faith.
Why RCIA?
Because faith is a journey—and you don’t have to walk it alone.
RCIA is a place to ask questions, share experiences, and encounter Christ in a personal and meaningful way. It’s a space where hearts are opened, friendships are formed, and lives are changed. At St. Leander’s, we walk with you every step of the way, guided by love, community, and the Holy Spirit.
